ARegister POS is a software point-of-sale application that was developed specifically for small retail businesses. It is a compiled Win32 application that runs on any recent 32-bit Windows platform with no additional runtime requirements.
ARegister supports cost / quantity transactions as well as barcode scanning and inventory transactions.
All data transactions use Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects to access back-end storage. This allows easy deployment with different database engines such as Microsoft Access, MSDE and SQL Server.

- Compiled Win32 application runs on any recent Windows machine
- ADO data connectivity
- Full keyboard driven data entry, mouse not required
- Customizable receipts with logo images and customer messages
- Displays full view of final receipt to till operator as the transaction is built
- Cost / Quantity transactions
- Barcode / Part# transactions and inventory decrement
- Supports scanning of vendor defined barcode numbers, or standard UPC if available
- Works with standard keyboard-wedge scanners (Metrologic, Symbol, etc.)
- User defined inventory categories
- Works with any standard receipt printer using native Windows drivers (Star, Epson, etc.)
- Auto cash drawer kick (manually in software, or via receipt printer)
- User defined staff / till operator directory
- Maintains and reports on till balance
- Includes till closing procedure to aid in counting closing dollar amounts
- Separately tracks payment types including cash, check, debit and credit for later reporting
- Separate utility application to setup and maintain staff, categories, inventory, etc.
- Integrates with Crystal Reports for back-end reporting
